๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐, a topic that by itself seems to generate lots of hype. โ
It took some time but itโs finally here - my analysis on the recent attempts towardsย regulating Artificial Intelligence. โ๐ค
For a very quick TLDR:
- The EC released a lengthy analysis on how they aim to regulate AI in the EU. Although there are some good points, this is very far from what we actually need and thereโs a higher risk of preventing innovation than preventing possible problems.
- Only two days before that, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the US, released a very short blog post with its own take on how to approach AI regulation. Again, there are some good ideas but it still very rough and nothing close to a policy.
- In Norway, they are setting up innovation labs where businesses can work closely with the regulators to ensure thereโs no bias and risk with AI solutions.
It seems the Norwegian approach makes the most sense so far but it will still be at least a few years until we actually have anything tangible in terms of legislation.
